Add a dash of 16th century flair with our Handcrafted Turkish Bowl. Brightly coloured bowls are hand turned and hand painted in traditional designs dating back to the 1500s. Turkish craftsmen meticulously apply colors in traditional patterns and then add a protective, shiny glaze. These Turkish bowls can be used as soup or salad bowls or to present guests with tasty tidbits—perhaps some authentic Turkish humus, cured olives or taramasalata (a delicious dip made from cured cod roe whipped with potatoes, olive oil and lemon juice). In fact, several of these bowls would be ideal for presenting meze, a selection of small dishes served with drinks or as an appetizer; basically, the Greek and Turkish version of the Spanish tapas.
